We endeavour to create a relationship with the local population that is based on open communication so as to identify their strengths as well as their needs.
In all of MML remote facilities, located throughout Tanzania, we endeavour to create a relationship with the local population that is based on open communication so as to identify their strengths as well as their needs. In terms of the services that we provide, our principal interest is to establish, locally, a supply chain for as many different goods as possible. By doing this that we are able to contribute economically to the local population and thereby create a sustainable market economy that can continue to thrive in the future
Due to the high proportion of staff employed from the contract impact area our allegiance to the local environs is paramount. The aim of our actions is twofold. Firstly, we aim to benefit our clients by contributing to their positive image in regional communities and through our commitment to community development, we strive to help our clients ensure and demonstrate that local communities benefit from their presence in the country. Secondly, we aim to prove to our employees that our commitment to their communities is solid.
In general, what we do at the start of any new contract is visit the local communities in order to identify potential suppliers. If we find that the produce locally available is not up to our exacting standards we assist the local communities by providing financial and practical support.
